Welkoop implemented its omni-channel strategy with the help of ConnectingTheDots, with the aim of integrating the physical and online shopping experience and having the different channels reinforce each other. In addition, Welkoop wanted to stimulate the collection of online orders in stores, because that offers extra possibilities for advice, upsell and cross-sell. In addition, the performance and payment convenience of the webshop had to be improved.
ConnectingTheDots’ e-commerce solution includes a management environment with PIM, CMS and order management. It also effortlessly connects to external systems such as the Enterprise Service Bus, which gives access to the rest of their digital platform.
By implementing the e-commerce solution of ConnectingTheDots, Welkoop was able to efficiently optimize product information, advice pages, category and theme pages and brand pages. We also added the option to pay in the store when ordering online. This increases the ease of payment for the customer and fits in with Welkoop's goals in the area of advice and increased customer value.
The webshop is optimized by default for fast filtering and a smooth user experience, which quickly resolved the performance issues.
Welkoop now offers all customers a seamless omnichannel experience. The online shopping experience is enriched by relevant information and the possibility of advice. This makes products easier to find. And that in turn leads to higher conversion.
Because customers come to the store more often to pick up their orders, the number of opportunities for upselling and cross-selling increases and Welkoop employees have more good conversations with customers. As a result, Welkoop's authority grows in the competitive domain of 'garden and animal', while a faster webshop and more payment convenience boost customer satisfaction.
