About Wilmink Engine Parts.

Wilmink, a supplier of parts for petrol and diesel engines, was keen to streamline product data management. To achieve this, they first needed an advanced PIM.


Better data management, better content.

So we first implemented the PIM part of our PIMeCommerce solution and achieved a 'golden record' for each product and a better product classification. This served as a basis for better processes for structured data management. In turn, these processes allowed Wilmink to better optimize product content and gain more control over product relationships. This was not just an internal issue, because product data and product relationships also include external information from TecDoc, the global database of spare parts for vehicles, and license plate data from Dutch and German vehicles.


More search options, clear results.

PIMeCommerce formed the basis of the renewed webshop of Wilmink. The new shop offers visitors an improved user experience by offering search options such as brand, model, type, engine code and license plate. Search results are clear and the user can further refine them with extensive filter and sorting options. On product pages the customer finds detailed information, comparison options and an intuitive shopping cart function.


Personalization and efficiency.

In B2B, a personalized experience is important, because prices depend on agreements with the individual customer. Logged-in users always see their specific net price in the new webshop. Furthermore, we have simplified the order process with flexible options for adjusting the shopping cart and additional payment methods, including payment on account. Automatic synchronization with Wilmink's ERP ensures real-time order processing and an accurate order history in the customer's personal account.


The overall result therefore offers the customer better service and more insight, but above all means that Wilmink can operate more efficiently, serve customers better and be far ahead of the competition in the coming years.
